Womens Cancer Initiative
Mumbai

The Women's Cancer Initiative: Tata Memorial Hospital (WCLl-TMH) is a non-profit organization led by Tata Memorial Center Director. Dr R.A. Badwe (president), Mrs. Devieka Bhojwani (vice-president), and Dr Sudeep Gupta (general secretary), as well as other cancer physicians and surgeons and volunteers, took part in the event. The fundamental purpose of the initiative is to provide material assistance to socially and economically disadvantaged women who have been diagnosed with breast and gynaecological malignancies. Hundreds of such women have benefited from the programme, which has provided them complete assistance on their prescribed treatment of chemotherapy, hormone therapy, radiation therapy, surgery, and rehabilitation therapy. The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is a government of India grant-in-aid institution that is overseen by the department of atomic energy. The Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH) and the advanced Centre for cancer training, research, and education are both parts of the complex. Each addition, in October, the initiative hosts the annual WCI-TMH breast and gynaecological cancer conference, which is India's premier event on the topic. Each conference brings together leading oncologists from India and beyond to discuss a certain topic.
