Solace is a non-profit organization, incorporated as a trust under Kerala's Charitable Societies Act. Their main goal is to provide care for children with long-term illnesses and to support their families in the face of difficult circumstances. Solace guarantees that the most remarkable medical treatment is available, easing the stress and strain of living with sickness and provide financial assistance, such as rent, the cost of starting a business, and the education of siblings, among other things. And necessities, such as food kits, which are crucial for their life. Volunteers, including expert doctors, make up the majority of the solace team. Along with the original Centre in Thrissur, they have branches in the districts of Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Palakkad, and Malappuram. They examine the medical history and social background of the sick children and their families in order to identify the scope and severity of their needs. The family of the children are significantly impacted in the majority of the cases documented in solace, and their lives revolve around giving care for the child. Paternal support is frequently low to non-existent, and moms struggle to make ends meet. As a result, they provide prescribed medicines, pay hospital bills, and arrange palliative care, all while guaranteeing that nourishment, livelihood, and house maintenance are all secured.
