Sahaayika is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides financial support to people who have been diagnosed with cancer or are undergoing cancer treatment, particularly women and children. The sole motivation is to save lives. The chief goals of the organization are to provide financial support to people and support institutions and hospitals that provide free cancer detection and treatment to the poor. The charity also intends to assist cancer patients with emotional, mental, and other forms of support in order to enable them to reintegrate into society. Cancer survivor Neerja founded the Apollo cancer support group, which is affiliated with the Apollo specialty Centre, under Sahaayika. They offer cancer patients psychosocial support.
