A laryngectomee has had one or both of their malignant larynxes removed surgically to preserve their lives. In this case, a prompt surgical treatment completely cures the patient suffering from laryngeal cancer, but they lose their voice and becomes essentially mute. Larygectomees run a non-profit charitable and social society established on January 12, 1980, to recover the laryngectomees in India. Under No. S/10975 of 1980 is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
