The main aim of the ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) was to develop the growth of knowledge and research in Ayurveda. At present, the ministry of health and family welfare is divided into two departments, each of which is led by a secretary to the Indian government: - The Department of Health and Family Welfare's affiliated office, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has subordinate offices all across the country. The DGHS provides financial help and technical guidance on all medical and public health issues, as well as is involved in the delivery of various health services.
