It is a government agency that collectively works to improve the quality of life. According to the latest Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) data, the Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) provides Financial Assistance (Swasthya Suraksha) to 10.74 crore poor, underprivileged rural families and identified occupational categories of urban workers families, with health benefits to approximately 50 crore beneficiaries. Ayushman Bharat, the government of India's flagship initiative, was established in line with the National Health Policy 2017's recommendation to accomplish the vision of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The goal of this project is to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the underpinning pledge to "leave no one behind." Ayushman Bharat is an endeavor to transition from a sectoral and segmented strategy to a comprehensive, need-based health care system which provides Financial Assistance to people. This program aims to implement ground-breaking initiatives at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels to address the healthcare system holistically (including prevention, promotion, and ambulatory care). Ayushman Bharat uses a continuum of care strategy, which consists of two interconnected components: Centres for Health and Wellness (HWCs).
